Independent bottle shop — Ruiru, Kiambu

Thick skin.
Good taste.

RHINO is a small, stubborn liquor store built around one idea: fewer bottles, chosen properly. No trend shelves, no filler brands, no apologies for what we don't stock.

6

spirit categories, curated tight

Why "Rhino"

Built like the animal, not the logo

A rhino has terrible eyesight and an extraordinary nose. It doesn't chase what glitters — it follows scent, patience, and habit. We buy the same way: we taste before we shelve, and we'd rather sell one bottle we believe in than ten we don't.

That means slower restocks, shorter shelves, and a staff who will tell you honestly when something isn't worth your money.

"We trust our nose over the noise."

The shelf, sorted

A group of rhinos is called a crash.
Here's ours.

Six categories, kept deliberately narrow. If it's on the shelf, someone here has already argued for it.

Whisky & Bourbon

Single malts, small-batch bourbon, and a few casks we bought because we couldn't leave them behind.

Rum & Cachaça

Pot-still and column, from unaged white to twenty-year-old sipping rum.

Agave

Tequila and mezcal chosen for the plant, not the packaging.

Gin & Botanicals

Classic London dry alongside small distillers doing something genuinely different.

Amaro & Bitters

The bitter end of the shelf — for people who've stopped needing their drinks sweet.

Wine & Bubbles

A short, honest list of reds, whites, and something to open when it matters.

Visit the store

We're a walk-in shop first. Come smell the corks, ask questions, and leave with something we'd drink ourselves.
